A supermarket-style till for your shop.

Scan, take cash or M-Pesa, print the receipt. Every sale comes straight off your stock, every shift ends with a drawer count, and you can see the day’s takings from your phone.

Included in: Business and Pro.

Built for the counter, not the back office

Big buttons, quick search and a scanner that just works. Your cashier can learn it in a few minutes.

Scan and go

Plug in any USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner. Scan a product and it lands in the cart with a beep. Type 3* before scanning to sell three.

Cash, M-Pesa, card or a mix

Split one sale across payment methods, keep the M-Pesa code with the sale, and let Kwikri work out the change.

80 mm receipts

Your name, logo, KRA PIN, the cashier and a serial number on every receipt. Or email it to the customer instead.

Stock that counts itself

Every sale reduces stock. Goods received from suppliers add to it. You get a list of what is running low before the shelf is empty.

Shifts and the drawer count

Cashiers open a shift with a float and close it by counting the drawer. Kwikri shows any shortage and prints the Z report.

A cashier role you can trust

Cashiers sell and print. They cannot change prices, give discounts or void sales unless you are an Admin.

Barcode labels

Make barcodes for loose items, then print labels on A4 sticker sheets or a label printer.

Takings by day

Cash, M-Pesa and card totals for each day, best-selling products and profit, all in Reports and downloadable to Excel.

Hardware you can buy in town

No special Kwikri equipment. Buy from any computer shop on Luthuli Avenue or online, plug it in, and open the till.

About the till

What hardware do I need for the Kwikri POS?

A computer, laptop or Android tablet with a browser. Add any USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner (the supermarket kind, in its normal keyboard mode) and any 80 mm thermal receipt printer installed on the computer. A cash drawer plugs into the printer and opens with each receipt.

Can I use the till on my phone?

Yes. On Android you can scan barcodes with the phone camera. For a busy counter, a scanner and a bigger screen are faster.

What if a product has no barcode?

Kwikri makes one for you. Print the labels on A4 sticker sheets or a 50 × 30 mm label printer and stick them on.

Can cashiers give discounts or delete sales?

Not unless you allow it. The Cashier role can sell, take payment and print receipts. Only an Admin or Accountant can void a sale, and the stock goes back when they do.

Does it work if two tills are open at once?

Yes. Receipt numbers come from the server, so two tills never print the same number, and stock updates on both.

Does the till send sales to KRA eTIMS?

Not yet. Receipts show your KRA PIN and VAT, and you can record eTIMS numbers on invoices.
